Are you looking for a Sako Quad Range?

I was buying a Tikka T3 Sporter in 6.5x55 the other day. What I saw was a glory of Sako and Tikka Rifles including the Sako Quad rimfire. The retailer is Kjergaard Sports near Lake Benton MN

The Sako Quad seems to me to be the ultimate .22 and .17 and etc.

Sako Quad Range in .22lr is far from the ultimate 22. It is an excellent rifle but a step below Anschutz 54 action rifles and two steps below custom made rigs.

The going price for NIB is $1534 plus shipping.

I have shot it. It is accurate, but is not going to win any competitions against seasoned shooters with more accurate rifles. It can easily and comparatively cheaply be improved with a Lilja barrel (it will drop right in) and be more accurate. Stock feels just great when firing and is comfortable. I am not happy with the factory trigger. It needs to go down in pull a lot more. If you are expecting a metal bolt handle and knob and cam parts, you will not find it on the Quad. Those parts are carbon fiber or some such. Maybe I got used to metal being where it should be when I was younger, like on a bolt and the front grille of a car.

If you start with the price, add the replacement trigger and better barrel, you are over $2000 and you might want to look at an Anschutz 1913 or custom for about $3000.
