Are CCI 200 and CCI BR2 same primers?

I just bought 1K CCI BR2 in a local GM, it was last brick on the shelf. The primers look exactly as CCI200, same golden colored from inside, just pricier. Other then 'B' stamped on the outside. Are they really different primers. And if so, what is the difference.

The last I knew the BR primers were tended to by one of the old timers, and other than the loving touch of the old guy, they are the same as the regular primers...

I have heard the same. That the more experienced crew ran the br primers. I also heard that the br primers are produced when the machine is up to speed and running and warmed up. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me in terms of what the effect would be after the first 1,000 or so, or something like that. That would mean there is virtually know difference between the 2 products. The value added they make on the br primers are something they would like to continue, so don't look for clarification from teh industry. I would expect the machines are warmed up 24 hours a day with all the demand.

I have been shooting the cci's for a while I have bought more bricks of 200's than br2. If you have a great action and rifle save some money and just use the 200s.

I put this question to Speer/CCI some time ago. The BR2 is the ballistic equivalent of the CCI200 and therefore both are interchangable. BR2 is just more consistent due to the extra skill going into the manufacture.

Like everyone else I hear the same thing, they say that br2 are better than the 200s. I'm new at precision shooting and haven't done that much so far. I dont see any difference in accuracy between both primers. Let you know more after a couple hundred thousand rounds.

Only my 2 cents.
