Ar15 smiths

Looking for experianced help from people who have chambered, profiled or built there own ar15 barrels. My question is about the chamfer lead in the chamber mouth. I bought a 556 chambered barrel and had it recut to my wildcat (100% clean up on a 556 chamber). It's based on the 6mm Haggar. It's a 40 degree shoulder moved forward about .040. It dont feed as it catchs just past the shoulder on the body in the chamber chamfer area. I as assembling a 204 shilen upper and noticed a huge chamfer on its chamber mouth compared to a 556. Id add pics but it's rediculous hard to on this forum.

Show both barrels to your smith that cut the new chamber so he knows what you are talking about and have him cut in a chamfer to correct the issue if that is what it will take. It shouldn't be a problem I would think, based on what you are saying.

PM your email and I will send you drawings.

wildkid, You asked for info and I visited with a friend that is one of the top AR smiths around. He made up some quick drawings to help you. You PM back and said what drawings LOL.
You may find it hard to get qualified help with that attitude.
