Ar type stock on deer rifle, kinda funny looking

I thought I would share this simply because it is so strange looking. 1B72E111-83D9-4236-8276-7D28BE58C234.jpegI was debating on what to do for a shooter of shorter stature, barely over 4 feet tall. I looked at a few options, and at some point I learned that the rem 7600, which I own several of uses the same stock fit as a 20 ga 870. So, I purchased a mesa tactical adapter and ar butstock assembly which lets me adjust the length of pull for me or her and put a burris fastfire on ot to eliminate paralax. (If there ever were a chance for paralax to screw ya, this is it)
She will be shooting 110 accubonds out of the 270 with h4895 at right around 2950 fps and recoil is pretty mild. This setup as odd as it is should serve pretty well for deer at the distance we need.
Also: I am pretty sure the rem 740,760 ect also use the same stock and the same setup should work if anyone needs to make a youth rifle out of one that is laying around

Whatever works, man. The AR was the first non-.22LR weapon my kids used. The adjustable length of pull, and low recoil make it a great platform for them to have fun and learn on. I probably would've shortened an existing stock myself, but it's more labor intensive. I was lucky enough to get a spare butt stock for my 7x57 No 1 RSI that I shortened up. With IMR 4198 and 120 grain bullets I can match .243 recoil levels at around 2500 fps.
