Terry

Gold $$ Contributor
We bought some AR 500 Steel Targets here a few years ago.

We would like to buy more.

Post, PM, or Email

Thanks!

Terry,

I just purchased some steel targets from shootingtargets7.com. They were the best prices I have found for the AR500 steel targets.

I agree that the shootingtargets7 are very good. I have several and they are better than expected.

I have a fellow shooter that is a farmer. He gives me the old disc blades when they wear down too much for them. They are very hard. Just hang them up and they work fine. At 100 yards they will stop a 223, but a 204 at 100 will punch through one. If you want to use bigger guns just weld a couple together and I bet it would work fine.

Hang Fast Targets has a unique approach with the T post hanger. Multiple targets can be hung from the same t post. Target plate protects the hanger and short chain that makes the target VERY reactive. Single bolt mounting enhances harmonics for a better CLANG ! Plate hangs at a back angle directing splatter and bullet energy downward.
Target and hanger will not slip or fall even when hit with a 12 ga slug at 15 yards.

Cheapest on the web and great customer service

Hang Fast Targets uses the XSteel targets in their system. Bud Sanson (owner) custom cuts the hole that works so well with the Hang Fast system. Buying plates is the easy part.... hanging them is where it gets in the weeds. Hang Fast makes it easy.

Here's a stand that I made out of black iron pipe. The back legs are adjustable, and I can take the crossbar out with 2 pins to take it down and transport easily. It's holding a 24''x24'' plate.

JC Steel also markets a set of brackets to set up a portable tgt stand using 1/2" re-bar.

Allows us to transport a few sets of tgts easily. Set up is a snap and short of an idiot hitting the brackets they should last quite some time.

We hang the plates using old conveyor belt material...works pretty well. Far better than cable or chains.
