I have been to the range today and for the second time, I have shot my father-in-laws AR-9mm that he picked up from Aims Surplus for the PCC game. Well the AR is great for the PCC game, my praise is not so much towards the carbine, but the trigger that is in this carbine. 9mm PCC's are tough on triggers. It has the Aims Special Addition Single Stage trigger. I have been around the AR scene for more years than I can think. I have built just about every configuration imaginable. From my work rifles, to target and competition rifle's, to hunting rifles. Tried all types of triggers from the "tuned" Mil-Spec to the $300 plus customs.
This trigger that came in his rifle, and it can be purchased alone, and is on sale at this time through Aims Surplus is a $79 wonder. It is as clean as I have ever felt. It is listed at 3.5 lbs single stage, but his pulls at 2.5lbs The reset has to be one of the shortest resets that I have ever shot. The reset was so short that I was waiting for the trigger to double, which it never did. Did he get that lucky with his trigger, I can't say. Luck does happen from time to time.
I was so impressed that I ordered two for future builds. One will go in a 6 ARC build and one may go to a friend that is getting into the AR's. It is a straight trigger blade design and it is plated silver, I forget the name of the coating. It is a drop in cassette type of trigger system. I do not know who is making it for Aims, but it is nice. For $79 , it is amazing. If anyone has tried one, let us know and when I get mine and install it and tested it, I will post on it.
