Ar-15 kit deals?

Has anyone seen any screaming deals on AR kits anywhere? Want to get my son an AR for Christmas but want to do a kit we can build together. Please let me know if you see a "can't pass it up" kind of deal.

CDNN investments usually has kits starting at $399.
I never used one so I have no personal knowledge of the quality.

BTW - Nice father/son project!
