I got one these several years ago at SHOT. It was made in Utah. Shouldn't there be a charging handle on the left side?

Yes. It has just been a while since I saw one. Mine was a screw off knob.
These are such a major improvement over the charging latch, that I do not know why more of them are not being made. Scope usage is far superior.

The handle is there. Very smooth styling for a sophisticated ar-15 build.
