AR-15 Benchrest Class

I read somewhere that a class for benchrest shooting was possibly starting that would be for AR-15' s. Anybody know about this?

Sounds like a great new class to me. I would love to gear up and make up some AR's for bench rest shooting. We worked with EGW to make the bench rest "bag rider" assembly for shooting AR-15's off a front rest and a rear bag and it works great. We even made a video that includes it and can be seen at:

What about using the 6mmar without a gas block, like a straight pull?

My idea of no gas port and working the action manually is out the door.

Robert W: instead of shooting the 6mmAR, try necking up to 30... Dave Kiff has reamers as "30 Major". Same kind of bullets, neck tension, jam, as the 30 BR. I use N120. I suspect that it would work in the AR. Just not as much as I'm shooting.
