I don't want a .458 SOCOM, I want a .45 Raptor. All I need to decide is what stripped upper...
Aero precision is nice or a stripped DPMS upper. I would get a matching upper and lower though for the .308 family.
Just curious as I do not plan to pursue this course, but why matching?
Bc AR10s aren’t “Milspec” so one company lower might not match another company’s upper. Instead of searching for what companies are compatible it’s just easier to get matching ones from the same company.
When you say AR-10s aren't "Milspec", I presume you mean 'some' but not 'all'?
I am very confused by this post? Having looked at many of them and I fail to see how some are harder to convert to full auto than others even with the correct paperwork. All I know is some would be easier to convert to burst of full-auto fire than others. I have observed this difference.
I've no desire to have an intense conversation with the ATF, SO I LEAVE MINE AS I PURCHASED THEM.
YMMV.
Full auto fire and accurateshooting. Now there's an oxymoron.![]()
You did not say anything about that. SomeOldGuy started that talk. I do not know why probably a fudd but I do not know for sure.just for the record I didn’t mention anything about full auto. Im trying to provide good, relatively inexpensive options for the OPs build. I just hope I’m helping him out a little.
The .45 raptor and I think there’s a .375 Variant both sound like awesome AR Ideas.
Can you imagine trying to keep an 8# rifle firing a .45 raptor under control firing in full auto?
