ar-10 trigger

Trigger on my DPMS LR 308 is hideous was wondering what you gentlemen have replaced them with and whether or not you decide to use single or double stage triggers. I prefer one pound or less pull

I use the AR Gold trigger. Have about 10 of these triggers installed in my AR collection.

I rework them out of the box, to be two stage with a total pull weight of 20 oz. for all my ARs.

Even out of the box stock, they are very nice and adjustable down to about 3 lbs.

This weapons new to me and I don't know much about them but what for I've been told you have to have a heavy hammer for the 243 or 308 that is not on the standard AR-15 drop-in triggers. is this not correct?

I have not noticed any issues with the lighter hammer or reduced hammer spring weight in 308 and many other .308 based cartridges in the AR-10 platform with the AR Gold trigger.

The only issue that MIGHT exist is with one of my AR-10s in 6.5 Creedmoor. Sometimes with factory Hornady ammo, I do get a fail to fire. This rifle has a very light weight hammer (Geissele SSE trigger) and a very light weight hammer spring.

Another vote for the AR Gold. I have them in my small frame and large frame AR's.

I have tried a bunch of the drop in triggers on the market but always end up back to AR Gold.

Don't overlook a Del-Ton 2-Stage Combat Trigger, nice trigger for the money. I like it a touch better than the Rock River Arms 2-Stage Varmint Triggers.

Thanks for the information I looked up all these triggerss and they all seem to be over a pound this weapens presently being rebarrel to .243 win for long-range varmint and punching paper

Right,

You will be hard pressed to find any AR triggers under 2.5 lbs and still function safely and reliably.

This is why my AR Gold triggers are reworked to about 20 ounces (1.2 lbs) This is as low as I can get them on pull weight, and still function safely.

Two stage geisselle NM adjustable. Total pull is more than 1lb, but two stage helps.

I'll third the SR Gold. Put it in my Armalite and love it. I have a .22-250 upper and a .45 Raptor upper for it in addition to the .308, so it's my do all rifle. I'm happy with a 2.5 - 3 Lb. trigger as long as there's no creep and a clean break.

so what's required to rework an SR trigger and who's the best person to send it to.Looks like a reworked Sr would be perfect for what I'm doing
