AR 10 buttstock

I'm signing up for this too as I'm interested in opinions. I would expect the luth-ar isn't as sturdy, but I don't need a stock that will survive a milspec stuck case extraction method, and I like the modularity of the luth-ar.

Luth is quite a bit lighter. Adjustments are made by loosening a thumbscrew and pulling the pieces to where you want them. The comb is flimsy. Only one side connects to the stock so if you put a lot of cheek pressure on it, it flexes sideways. Might not be a completely bad thing depending on how you look at it but it is a little flimsy.

I can move it with cheek pressure. I suppose a guy really shouldn't be leaning on it that hard anyway but it does move. The higher it is, the more it moves.

If you want a full size adjustable stock that is lighter than a PRS then yes I would. I haven't used it much so I can't say anything about how tough it will be.

It's not the weight that bothers me it's the pocket book, I recently dished out a nice chunk of change for some class for it. If I can get a stock that is relatively as nice or works as well as the prs for less money I will go with that one

The thing I didn't like with the LUTH-AR stock is how clumsy the adjustments are. After loosening the thumb nut you have to separate the teeth on the comb from the teeth on the stock to and then move it to where you want it. It winds up taking two hands plus another to hold the rifle. Its ok for a set it and forget it setup, but if you will be moving you stock for shooting from different positions, Id pass on the LUTH.
