Anyone Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP EBR-1 MOA Reticle | 30mm Tube

I sure hope someone knows something about this scope , I really like the FFP and the MOA reticle great combination

They have not been released yet. Some say the end of the year(better hurry if thats the case), but most have said January, which sounds like the most realistic date given that the SHOT Show is in January also.

Vortex pulled them as there was an issue with the turret design. They have redesigned the turrets before they did the formal release as they realized that they were not up to the standards that they wanted to offer. It probably hurt them short term, but I love their better scopes, so I think that long term it will be a plus for them. I am looking forward to buy at least one of the PST's myself.

McKinney Thanks, I called them and that is about what they said. I would think it will be a big seller, Specially being on FFP, I prefer MOA as to MIL even though mil is not a problem useing it as MOA 1 mil equals 3.438 MOA that of coarse times 1.047 = 3.5995 same as 3.6 that is one mil all at 100 yards. Thanks Again

I think he means "first focal plane", which I understand to mean that the reticle is on the first internal lens. I also understand that a reticle on the ffp will increase in apparent size as the magnification is cranked up. Some people like this feature.

I've not used an ffp scope, so I could be all wet on this.

Yes FFP is First focal plane- how this helps is it keeps it rainging and sighting constant, example on a Bushnell 6x24x50 mildot, you would range it at 12x being 1 mil , lets say and you find your target is 100 yards, 1 mil =3.6 inches at 24x 1 mil=1.8 inches so if you range at 24 you have to double it if you range lower then 12 lets say at 3x you half it, it is a pain in the a** if it is FFP it stays the same at all powers and your point of aim or were the bullet hits is constant at all power settings, second you can get it in MOA instead of Mildot, so if you range a target to be 200 yards and you know your bullet drops 1.5 moa at 200 you just hold over between the first and second dot or hash mark with a mildot you have to convert, 1 mil=3.438 MOA so now you have to figure where 1.5 moa is between the mil dots, I hope i explained this right.

Kenticky , yes your right
