Anyone use the Sinclair OAL GAUGE Question

I'm not sure but I have some doubts if it really works, here's why, first you put bullet in, bullet stops at land, so far so good, then you put case in okay, then you measure case and add length of bullet, well the measurement was to the ogive not the tip of the bullet, so I'm missing something. has anyone tested it against the hornady gauge.

it works. the measurement you are taking is from the back of the bullet to the back of the case (space of collars) so you have to add bullet length. a properly headspaced case is also a good thing to use.

when i first got mine i was scratching my head also.

ah ha, right , the back of the bullet, okay going to think on that one, it should be here Monday, I been using the hornady gauge but they don't have a 6.5x47L so I thought I would try this
