Off topic and not to hijack the thread, but if the OP is looking for a dot that will work in the daytime, give the Leupold VXR series a look. I have a 3-9 and a 4-12 with the triple illuminated dot reticle. They can be tuned down to work beautifully for night time coyote hunting and tuned up for absolute perfect daytime deer hunting. Also the dots are small enough so as not to obliterate your target. I have no affiliation with Leupold Company, financial or otherwise!I use one for mid range competition. I see no problem with the scope at all. Glass is good and clicks are accurate. Wish they were 1/4 minute instead of 1/8 minute. Like most other scopes the red dot doesn't work in daylight.
