Anyone have a good load for there 223 with h4198 and 50 grain bullets?

Sure do, check hodgdons website, and I bet a forum search will turn up a lot. More info needed before I share (bullet, chamber, primer, twist, etc...)

1-12 twist, rem action. Tnt bullet 50 grainer.cci 450 primer .

It will work but there are much better choices, e.g H335, Benchmark, IMR / H 4895, Varget just to name a few.

I'm happy with h4198 from my AR. 21.0gr REM 7.5 seated to 2.220". Work up to this load as usual. Hornady brass.

Benchmark is my backup.

H4198 is a bit fast, but if you can live with the reduced velocities, it can be very accurate.

4198 is a very accurate powder for the .223 and 50gr bullets - it's just a pain in the ass to run through a measure.

I have a load with 20 grains and it shoots damn near one hole. It's just slow as hell

Like varget ain't? H335 does good with a measure, or TAC.

I4198 and a 50Gn Vmax is an excellent performer (accuracy wise) I almost never load it, because it simply won't meter. I usually have to trickle charge it one at a time and I'm too lazy to do that. just run a ladder test and see what works for you.
