Anyone use a Hornaday Auto Charge Pro?

Unboxed, set mine up, and it drifted more then the continents during the Pangea Period. Called Hornaday and it was determined that it was a Lemon. I'll have my new one on Thursday.

Has anyone else had this problem?

They all drift a little on warmup. I wait 15 minutes before using any digital scale.

Temperature stability, cell phones, fluorescent lighting, and air currents can cause issues. Keep noise to a minimum including ambient music, TV, etc.

Digital scales are also sensitive to dirty power. Even if you don't have anything else plugged into the same outlet or even the same room...if there are other things using the same circuit, it could interfere with the scale. I highly recommend using a line conditioner with a digital scale, or you could be banging your head against a wall chasing issues.

And as stated already, it has to warm up. I don't have the Hornady, but I don't use my scale until it's been on for 30 minutes.

On my 3rd try I let it warm up for 30 minutes. My 4th try the unit refused to turn on. That's where I threw in the towel.

Having disappointed myself with every attempt at an "economic" powder scale.....I ordered Auto Trickler this morning. Bit silly at the end of our season..but I'll be all ready for next. Now...a new annealer...

I like the fact that Hornady is standing behind it anyway.

I bought one of these awhile back when they were a featured sale item. Never had this type machine before, but have to say that mine has been impressively solid. Now I'm kinda spoiled when loading medium to slow stick powders vs the hand trickler that I used for many years. Good luck with your new machine.
