In search of one small hole...
There's going to be a Centerfire Point Blank Money Score Shoot at the North Fork Sportsman Club in Saltville Virginia this coming Saturday. That's Point Blank as in 100 & 200 yards. That's Money as in Bring Your Wallets Boys & Girls. Saltville is in SW Virginia and within 50 miles of NE Tennesser, NW North Carolina, SE Kentucky and Southern West Virginia.
You will be shooting at 100 & 200 yard IBS Score Targets. Cost to play is $30/non-members, $20/members for each match which is a dual distance (100/200 yard) match for one payment. No half payments for shooting only one distance.
Match starts at 1300 hours with registration starting at Noon. This is an informal Money shoot. The club takes half the gate and the winners divide the other half with the percentage based on their place.
If there is enough time after the 1st match, everyone can pony the bucks up again and we'll go at it a second time or more as long as the sun's still up. This all depends on how many people show.
For further information and directions, call Robert Vestal at Vestals Custom Rifles (276) 669-9680 or email at gunslinger1rv@yahoo.com. Most of you Long Range and Extreme Long Range shooters know Robert already. Robert's Accurate Shooters profile is at http://forum.accurateshooter.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1288041
Okay, there's always rules but this is basically an Outlaw type Money Shoot where you "Shoot What You Brung" but we do want to put the upper caliber limit at .30 and request no Rail Type Guns. Mechanical and bipod front rests are fine as long as they aren't directly attached to the rear rest. There are no class divisions.
***** Bolts Out or Shooter Supplied Chamber Flags in at ALL TIMES unless you have been instucted to make ready to fire. ***** Period!
I'm probably forgetting something but told Robert I would try and write this up real quick and post it on here tonight. Anyway, direct any of your questions to him. It will be great to put a face to a lot of you local tri state area shooters on here that might show up for this. You can all come and take my money because I'm Crap at Score Shooin'.
Regards,
Thomas
