Anyone try Alliant Power Pro 4000-MR

Tried this on the 6XC forum but didn't get much response. Powder is available everywhere (and inexpensive) and seems to be in the same speed as some of the other popular 6XC powders. I'm looking for data for 6XC, 308 w/heavies, or 223 w/heavies. Thanks!!

Its more of a magnum powder rather than what your looking for in a 223, 308 rifle load. Now with that said a good friend has worked up a great load in his 300wm under a 200gn hybrid. So I hope to some degree this has helped you.

Reread your post, to some degree I think you might be referring to the 2000Lr rather than the 4000mr. Now its all about the 233, 308 even the 6xc I think.

My thoughts were the 2000- MR is a bit too fast and the 4000-MR too slow. IN 300 WM the 4000-MR is great. But, was curious about using it in 6XC mostly.

I tried it last season, when I couldn't find 4831 for my 6slr.

It had a lot of promise with dtacs. I was surprised at the accuracy I got in the short time I tested it. Shortly after I got some 4831 and haven't taken the time to try to really work it up.

I used about three grains less than 4831 for my best results.
