Anyone tried the Sierra 30 call 177 matchkings ?

I ordered some looking for info. for .308 Winchester.
The 177's are essentially are redesign of the 175 SMK like what Sierra did with their 168 SMK's redesigning them to a 169 SMK. 177's have a different dimensions than the 175 SMKs and they're pointed like the 169's giving them even better BC's. Both these new 169 SMK's and 177 SMK's performed very well in my .308

I tried just two powders so far with the 177's, AR-Comp and IMR-4064. Performance was great with both powders. 42.5 gr of the 4064 gave me a velocity at 2620 fps out of my 26" Krieger barrel with 5 shot groups <.5 MOA (like, low 4's). 41.4 grs of AR-Comp did best where giving me 2701 fps with 5 shot groups <.3 MOA with very low ES's and SD's.

For me, these 177's did way better than the old 175's and I think you'll really like them when you find a good load for them.

PS: I've been loading them with a COAL of 2.927".

The biggest difference in the 177 and 169 vs the 175 ang 168 is not the tip, but the boat tail. Redesigned to both improve b.c., and to be more stable during the trans sonic.

Actually both the 169 and 177 MKs are substantially different than their counterpart 168 and 175 MKs, different ogives, optimized boattails, and closed noses closed the noses are the main differences.
