Anyone tried a Tikka varmint rifle in 30/06?

Thinking about a tactical 1000 yard rifle. What kind of accuracy are you getting? Thanks.

There was a thread on the 30-06 here, a little while ago. You should search it. I don't own one, but I have 3 Tikkas and they all shoot pretty good. .223, 22-250 and a .308. Good luck.

Might look at Tikka's competition rifle with the laminated stock. Go with a .260rem and reap the rewards of High BC, and low recoiling round.

I am very happy with my 3006 Stainless Varmint

165grs SST - 6 shots centre target - 100m from bench

Rifle ready for hunt with the org bbl length 61cm - 165grs SST V0: 860 m/s

After shortening bbl to 49cm - 165grs SST V0: 837 m/s

Topped with a Meopta 2.5-15x56 for wild boar night hunts in Sweden.

I contacted Beretta and they said the only LH varmint imported was in 223 and 22/250.

Strange that Beretta doesn't import all available calibers.

What about one of the Sako A7 models ? maybe that could be an option
