anyone loading 32 remington

my ? is,,,im loading 32 remington with Hornady InterLock Bullets 32 Caliber (321 Diameter) 170 Grain Flat Nose and if i stay in the overall loaded length of 2.525 the crimp groove is to deep to use

I would not worry about the crimp groove. I use Hornady 220gr 375 cal bullets in my 38-55 and have the same issue. The problem with crimp grooves is that they are in place for a particular caliber. For example the bullet you are using is probably right for a 32 win spl. This doesn't mean you can't use that bullet, just that the cannelure will be in the wrong place.
If you want to use a crimp groove, Buffalo Arms sells a cannelure tool for just that.

Or you could use the lee factory crimp die and the canalure is not necessary. If you have enough neck tension you wont need much of a crimp anyways.

Hornady 9th Edition

32 Winchester Special
Maximum COL 2.565

170gr Interlock FP
B.C. 0.249
C.O.L. 2.656
Item No. 3210

Higher math
Case Trim Length 2.030
Maximum COL 2.565

2.565 - 2.030 = 0.535
Question, is from the base of the bullet to the crimping groove more than 0.535?

Yes the groove is probably for 32 win. You can check your chamber to see if the bullets can be seated out farther. If so, the groove might work for you. overall lengths can vary with different bullet designs. Is your 32 rem a pump? semiauto? The magazine design, and function of the action could limit your length.

The Hornady bullets are too long for the Remington Model 14 pump but is okay in the model 8 & 81. We have a model 14 in .32 Rem., and I had a barrel assembly for the model 8 in .32 also.

The Speer bullet is okay.

We now have a Model 141 in .35 Remington and have not shot it yet. I might have to revisit this issue because my .35 Rem. I'm using the Remington 200 grain SP bulet.
