Anyone load 300 Blackout?

I have a friend who just bought one and wants me to help him get
started on reloading. All I need is the dies. Anyone with experience
loading and a recommendation on dies? Thanks

I know that Dillon makes a carbide sizing die for it.

I use Lyman dies and I am sure Redding does too

It's not a benchrest round. . . I'd be content with a Lee or Hornady set. If you load cast, I like the Hornady sliding sleeve seater because (once it's honed open for cast a bit) it aligns long cast bullets better.

Forster is a pretty good die. Look at H110/296 Powders. I would stay with a 110-125 class bullet. Fun round.

I use RCBS full length die set #22401 and have had no problems with the dies. I have an IWI Tavor X95 and a conventional AR. The X95 has a 16.5" barrel and the AR has a 16" barrel. Both are 1:8 twist.

I shoot subsonic so here are a couple of loads:

For the X95 I use Accurate 1680 powder, 12.7 gr, CCI 400 primers, Hornady brass trimmed to 1.360", Sierra MatchKing 200 grain bullets, OAL is 2.210", velocity is right around 1060 fps which is still subsonic as long as the temperature is over 10 degrees F.

For the AR I use Accurate 1680 powder, 12.1 gr, CCI 400 primers, Lake City brass trimmed to 1.360", Sierra MatchKing 200 grain bullets, OAL is 2.123", velocity right around 1000 fps.
