Anyone know who made these rings?

Recently bought a scope and it had these rings on it. They appear to have metal inserts in them very similar to the Burris Signature rings that use the plastic inserts. Also if you notice in one picture letters are stamped on the top and bottom half. Corresponding letters are on the other ring only reversed. Just wondering if the letters should match on the top and bottom AA, JJ or not, AJ,JA. Just click on the pictures if you need a closer look. Any info on these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I have a set of those and they were made by Jewell. Atleast thats what i was told.

What do you know about the letters stamped into the rings?

Yes they are Jewell's. The letters stand for Arnold Jewell and they are stamped so you don't mix up the tops and bottoms. You can shim under the rear ring to gain elevation and not stress your scope cause the live centers will line up.
