Anyone know of a 6br

How much are you looking to spend? I'm sure if you looked through the classifieds on here you would fine one.

For sale??? Looking for a 10 or a 12 twist. Mainly going to shoot paper or occasional ground hog.

Savage currently offers three models in 6BR, and are in the $1600 range list. They are all 8 twist and optimized for the heavier 6mm bullets, not the short range benchrest bullets in 60-70 grain range. I have the LRPV model and it is a 12 twist that is no longer offered. It shoots quite well, and I only have a couple of complaints. The throat is too long for a 12 twist barrel. It seems that Savage must have used the same long throat reamer on both the 8 twist and 12 twist. And in retrospect the 12F Class seems like a better stock for shooting off the bench. I do enjoy using the right bolt and left eject action though. Very convenient on the bench. See this link for Savage models available.

So my advice is, whether you go to a custom, or a factory Savage to watch the twist and throat combination to ensure it is suitable for the bullets you plan to shoot.

For fun once in a while I look at the Shooters Corner classifieds,Bob White always has decent rifles for sale,I'm sure you will find a very nice 6BR there.

Howard Deitz built 6br. I would have to look up the spechs as I forgot.... PM me if you want more info.
$1100 for rifle without scope (Sightron S3 8-32)

off top of my head (don't hold me to it) but 1:14 twist 1.35" straight Shilen barrel, no turn 6br chamber with approx. 800ish rounds, Shehane stock, jewel trigger, egw base, burris rings, shot 58 grain Vmax very well.

I have a Savage PTA, Krieger shouldered barrel 1-8 twist with under 800 rounds down it. In a PRT Lowboy stock.
$1200.00 plus shipping.

About 3 years ago I decided to build a target/varmint rig and did it myself. When I got through it I really enjoyed it and have a good rig. Start with a savage action, I started with a 110 in 270 Win.
