Anyone have experience with Broughton barrel for BRX

I'm looking at chambering a Broughton 1-7.3 twist 5c barrel for my BRX. Intend on shooting Berger 105 hybrid but may try 105 vld, 105 bt, 108 bt, or Sierra 107. Just curious if anyone had good accuracy out of these barrels. I usually shoot Krieger, Brux, and Bartlein cut rifled barrels.

Thanks,
Joe

2 kriegers 3 bartliens 1 shilen. The broughton that I bought 1st shot the best and lasted the longest in a 243 shooting the 115's before the 105's were thought of. That was a 1/7 twist.

Broughton is a very good barrel. I rate them as one of the top tier makers. As mentioned, the three B's are all good....Broughton, Bartlein and Brux. Of course Krieger, Hart, Lilja and Shilen are all top notch as well. I'm sure I'm leaving someone out, but you get the idea. All of the TOP makers produce wonderful barrels.

I bought an 8 twist Broughton and chambered for 6BRX. Incredibly accurate. Shot 600-46x at NRA approved 600y match in 2006. Shot like a laser for over 2800 rounds with Varget and Berger 105 VLD's at 2975 fps.
