Anyone have a Millett LRS 6-25x56 non illuminated

I know you specifically wanted a comment on non illuminated, but I like everything about mine except the crosshairs. It is a bit thick and a ballistic reticle. Clarity and image brightness are very good. It is not a Ziess, but it didn't cost $1100 either

Don't waste your money unless you're putting it on a 22lr. Had 3 of them & all went south. Black floaters everywhere. Had them on a Rem .308 shooting 1000 yard benchrest. Held up for a while & good glass while it lasted but not recoil friendly. Millet did replace 2 of them but when the third went I just said screw it & bought a fixed 20 SWFA!!!

Look up Athlon 8-34x56 reviews.
Is this one you have or did have?
What did or didnt you like about it?
Thanks for the comments fellas.
For about $650 I can get a Vortex Viper and I know they are decent as I have two 4-12x40s already but, it is more $.

i have an illuminated one on a .223 AR 15 have had no issues at all, holds zero well, descent clarity for the price of under $500. my biggest complaint is the reticle, way too thick

I just ordered one from Midway, where they are on sale for $330. The reviews are good. Figured I'd try one on a 223. Moving scopes around is getting to be a pain. The warranty is great, which is most important when trying a new cheap scope. Millet has a bad history for warranty issues. My best rifles have Nightforce scopes. I have some Sightrons and Weavers, Leupolds and Nikons on my other guns. I also have a Vortex, 6-24 I think.
If I were you, I'd save for a Vortex or a Sightron. You'll appreciate it more and they retain value for when you move up. I bet you couldn't give away a Millet on this forum.;)

I have both an illuminated and non-illuminated Millet scope. They are repeatable with good clarity and brightness. I paid less than $500 each for them and consider it money well spent.

I had one a few years back. Had it for about 3 years and never had a single problem with it. Yes, the crosshairs are a little thick but, it didn't matter since they were just right for coyotes!
