Anyone ever use ZPV brand Reamers(serbian

These are fairly common on ebay. And usually under $120 just curious if anyone has used them. Serbia has a decent track record for industrialized machine work. But even American companys seem to have trouble with chamber reamers. Ant experiences?

No experience but I've been on the verge of buying a couple for some chambers I want but not sure of but want to try without the higher expense. they look pretty good

Manson keeps many SAAMI speced reamers "on the shelf" in solid pilot. Takes only a couple of days for the shop to alter to removable pilot and or neck reduction. Shipping and communication has always been prompt, unlike another on the west coast that I'll not name. Choose wisely, like the 'old' Templar Knight said in the Indiana Jones flick......

Who are you going to return it to if there is a problem? I think I'll stick with Manson. I know I'll get what I want from his shop.
I had this exact thought, but i tried a return a reamer to a known company here in US and there is no way ZPV could be harder to deal with. Which furthered my curiosity on them.

You have just been dealing with the reamer maker that is just the most difficult to deal with in the USA! Makes reamers to the wrong spec, the office girls can't keep track of anything, and when you do finally get a reamer, it might only cut on one flute. Sounds to me like you've tried only ONE tool maker..Maybe you should try another USA reamer maker and not lump 'um all into the same bucket? There are just some things I'm not gonna' by from an over seas vendor on E Bay. Good barrel blanks are not cheap, neither is my time!

Actually, ebay makes it pretty easy to return an item. It is not a no-questions-asked return, but they require the item to fully match the description. So read the description clearly. For example, if it says SAAMI reamer and the reamer as measured does not meet SAAMI, then you can easily return it. They are very buyer-oriented and if an item is not as described, you're golden. if it breaks, that is not as clear. Also, your timeframe is shorter. You can't return an item after 6 months is you just got around to using it. The couple of times I've had a problem with a product from an international sellers they just refunded my money without question.

But frankly, this discount isn't enough for me to want to try them compared to name brand unless others can vouch for their experiences.

Read the return policy.

Item must be unused and undamaged. Buyer pays return shipping. 10% restocking fee may apply.

Clymer or Manson, $105.00 from Brownells for most rimless rifle calibers. For sixty bucks, shipped, I'd think about it, but for any higher I'd stick with what works.

I agree with Stick with the Known on this one. Haven't used but two reamers one from PTG and one from Manson. PTG was purchased here used, Manson was new. Dave has been quick to answer any question i had and sent me a print almost a year after i purchased the reamer. I just cut my fourth barrel with it yesterday, still working great, nice smooth cut. If i were buying another new one Dave Manson would be the vendor - & ftr i have no affiliation with him other than a satisfied customer. BTW the PTG reamer also has cut one chamber for me and also worked well!

Who uses a solid pilot tool anymore?

I have almost 80 chambering reamers in the tool draws. The only ones I have had problems with are those from PT&G. After buying 7 PT&G reamers and having 'issues' from every one, I can not in good conscience spend my money there for a chambering reamer. I hesitate when a customer supplies a reamer made by PT&G. I have been fitting & chambering custom barrels for over 25yrs........

whos gonna be first in line to run a serbian reamer in a brand new krieger they waited 4mo to get? im interested to hear the opinions too.
We're saving money now!

Evidently someone still uses solid pilot, otherwise Brownells wouldn't stock them, or catalog them for that matter! Ought ta' see what that solid pilot does to the rifling, right ahead of the chamber!

Plenty of pipefitters still use em. Think of all the money and space you save not dealing with those pesky bushings.
