Anyone ever tried a 6.5 TCU or 6.5/204 Ruger?

Only one I have fooled with is 6.5 TCU. This was on a TC pistol, so ya know.
I ended up with this specific barrel when a buddy and I bought out a good friends remaining gear, all or nothing which was fine. This particular barrel is for an encore, why in the world he ever had this built for an encore I don't know. None the less it is a good shooter, have toyed with idea of bumping it to a case size more in line with what an encore will handle.

6.5 TCU, found it easy to work with and form cases. I had played with 6TCU and 7TCU before this one. Majority of brass I used was LC put into lots by year.
I anneal all of it after necking up. Found it forms up better on fire forming.
I like some case/shoulder crush fit for fire forming. Fire forming loads were usually about as accurate as formed brass.
I listened to a lot of complaints when I started with the 7 in the 80's. All of the complaints were from those that used brass of questionable past. Virgin or once fired gives the best results. I had a pile of 7tcu that had been shot a lot with mid range loads. I sized it down to 6mm and used it for a while. Then the 6.5 showed up so I necked it back up. Probably has 15 + firings altogether and no issues. I anneal about every third to forth firing.

If I knew for sure I would not have feeding issues I would have a short action savage or Remington repeater bolt gun built already.

Still have an XP in 6-223. See very little difference in performance between it and the TCU. I see no reason a 6.5-223 would not do the same.

I built a 6.5 tcu last year. 24" barreled rifle. Shoots pretty good with the 90gr tnt and the 100gr speer HP. Think velocities for the 90gr were around 2850fps

Had a XP 100 and a model 7 built in 6.5 tcu.
Best I remember was getting 2450fps with 123gr Hornadys out of a 20"barrel. Shot great.
