Anyone else "jonesing" to get out?

I haven't been able to go after some ghogs yet, and it's killing me! Just wondered if anyone else could share in my misery? It's been raining a lot here in NW PA, and most farmers haven't done the first cut yet. I have got a few, with the 17HMR, around the barns, but I'm itching for the long shots. I'm not as skilled as some on this site, but my record is 634yds with a 22-250. I can't wait to see if I can break it this year.

Yes, am jonesing big time to get out! Only got 4 so far this year around yard and neighbors field. All the grass is a foot high and no first cuts yet. I am also in NW Pa. north of Meadville. My varmint rifles are ready and my son and I will probably take a ride this coming weekend to check out some of our honey holes.

Well I am at #94 so far this year but still wanting to get back out there. I did get one last week at 382 yds. with a 221 fireball. You gotta love it.

I was "jonesing"today because it was raining! Can't shoot from vehicles or else I would have been out. ;D I guess I will have to set up a beach umbrella. Just what I need is more gear to carry afield! ::)

Got out today to "fire a few rounds". Nothing to do with dog shooting, just burning a little ammo and checking out a new caliber. First time shooting in over a year. Life has a way of changing your priorities. Things are starting to smooth out so more shooting time is in the near future. 8)

It has been raining/flooding here in SE Colorado for a couple of weeks now. Not as bad flooding as a few years ago but a lot for a place that is supposed to be desert.Fields are muddy with free standing water all over. I did park on a hill and get 64 dogs with my .22 2 weeks ago and that is it so far. (It is raining, thundering and lightnig as I write this now.) I have 100+ more dogs in that field to get when it dries out.Hope they can swim!

North of Meadville? I live in Grove City, work in Sheakyville

Screamingeagle, yes I live just west of Cambridge Springs. Just got word from one of my customers that is a farmer that the hay is coming off one field today! Yippee! ;D

grass is nearly 3 feet here and farmers in no hurry to cut. Seems they all have gone to 2 cuts a year, fuel costs etc.
