Anybody mounted an over-the-bore bipod on Oryx?

I purchased a Fortmeier bipod for that hangs from the 12 o'clock position. I am looking for a way to mount it to my 300 PRC which sits in an Oryx LA stock. I have identified several pic rail saddles that are intended for use with night vision devices, but I haven't settled on a particular solution. Anybody have experience with this?

Did you purchase a spigot mount with the bipod, which one?

Also I do not see a simple bolt on solution to the Oryx as far as a pic rail mounted on top unless you mod it in some way. Don't know if the aluminum backbone is wide enough on forend to drill tap it for a night vision/pic rail or not.

Also, you'll be somewhat restricted with overall cartridge length as the Oryx comes standard to accept only 3.715" length magazines, not the CIP (3.85") length magazines that the .300PRC requires to gain full ballistic potential. At least that is what the M700/clone LA Oryx readily accepts.

You should be able to mount an arca rail on bottom of forend and it may be an option to exchange for the fortmeier that attaches at 6'oclock position, although I do prefer the 12.

Just some food for thought!

I like the Fortmeier, did you get the 171,184, or 210 length?
