anybody know if 55 grain hp@3200fps will survive a 1:7 16" barrel

Some wll... and some won't. The 52gr HP match bullets will, but some of the thin jacked varmint bullets will be past their limits. You just need to try them.

You have the military twist so we no that all the military bullets will work.I have one myself in the same twist and I have shot the 50 grain Remington power lok hollow points for years out of it.They all made it to the target. I would call each manufacturer of bullets that you want to try and ask them what they suggest in their line of bullets that would work.
