How does it shoot? My chambers were all 0.168 freebore and a 0.293 neck. No complaints and I wouldn’t change a thing. If you’re looking for 0.004-0.005 clearance instead of 0.003, they you’ll want a 0.294 or 0.295 for the Lapua and Peterson lots I have.
It’s Jim Borden’s reamer and across 3 barrels, they all shot less than 4” at 1000 in BR - very competitive. How does it shoot?
I’m looking for a print number that’s shot well on the long run.
Thank you
Oh of course, but some of them just suck 100% of the time too haha. Do you have a print number or is it his secret? It’s Jim Borden’s reamer and across 3 barrels, they all shot less than 4” at 1000 in BR - very competitive.
Talking to top gunsmiths, individual reamers are sometimes just blessed. Two reamers made to the same print and one will consistently make more winning chambers.
I haven’t asked, so I can’t say for sure. What I shared is what he told me about it. Sorry!Oh of course, but some of them just suck 100% of the time too haha. Do you have a print number or is it his secret?
He’s been on vacation, but may still answer my email. I’ll check.
