Anybody fool around with a 17-222?

I was just looking in Cartridges of the world, when I came across this little beauty. It says it should perform somewhat better then a 17 rem or 17-223 because it uses less powder.

Im just worried about barrel life.. I guess one should not expect more then 1500-2000 rounds.

I have just completed two rifles for a customer. Both are Lilja barrels on Stiller Predator actions. One is a 17 Javelina AI and the other is a 20 Javelina AI. These are the 222 Rem necked down and blown out with the 40 degree shoulder. There is quite a bit of very usefull info on these rounds on www.saubier.com
