Anybody ever use TULAMMO L.R. primers?

Was at a gun show recently and saw these "TulAmmo" large rifle primers for $20/1000.

I almost walked right by, when the guy next to me grabbed two bricks. I asked him how they work, and he said he can't tell any difference between them and any other primer as far as consistency goes. He claimed they were made by Wolf.

So I bought a brick, figuring I'll use them for plinking and short-range loads.

Anyone ever used them? How did they perform?

They are good primers and in some case's considered better than some of the american primers.

i have had very good luck with them, and wolf imo very good primers for the money the hotter sm rifle did just as good as 7.5rem br in my 17remington,

they are very good. and that is less than i pay for them as a dealer. so go buy.

they ARE NOT made by wolf. wolf and tula BUY from the same RUSSIAN factory.

I've been shooting both the SR-M and the LR for 6-7 years now in both gas and bolt rifles. In more cases (5,000) of those primers than I could give you an accurate count of I've never had a failure to fire. One bit of advice though, make sure you seat them with authority. The cup are harder than some others, and you want the anvil to be seated firmly at the bottom of the pocket.
I hope this helps,
Lloyd

Tula primers are what i use mostly, they have always performed great.......I woulda grabbed much more than one brick at that price!

About the same results as everyone else , bought some tula primers when i couldnt find anything else , so far cant tell a difference.

I've used them for several years now. I get the lowest ES/SD numbers from the Wolf/Tula primers, even when compared to the FGMM 210M and BR-2.

I used to buy them by the "brick", and a couple of years ago started buying them by the case. Got a case for "stock" just before Obama was reelected. Turned out to be a wise move, especially if Obama decides we can't buy "Russian" primers anymore.

Unfortunately they aren't available at 2012 prices anymore :( Seems like others are finding out they're good primers.

FWIW, I find that there's no difference in performance when I use the same charge weights as I used with the Fed GMM210M's in my .308 win. Same speeds, just more consistent with the Wolf. It's nice to see a "tape" from the chrono that shows the ES/SD to be single digit over strings or 20 rounds.

I sure hope you went back and got more than 1000. They are good primers from what I can tell. You have to be sure to seat them properly or they will give you issues.

Began using Wolf LR primers maybe 4 years ago. Now I buy them under Tula label. Wolf were Tula made. Never a problem with them. Did give a couple of hundred of them to a fellow range member who was running low on primers, who didn't like them. His problem with them was seating them with his Lee hand tool for seating primers. I use the Lee Ram prime in my press to seat my primers. Guy with the hand primer said "he wore himself out using the wolf/tula primers.....took too much hand pressure."

tula does not make primers.
both tula and wolf buy from a single russian factory .
"murom apparatus producing plant"
the primers once labelled as PMC came from the same plant.

These are "RUSSIAN" primers, Wolf/Tula are made in Russa. They will become rare as we just declared an outright ban on all imports from Russia thru our President. Expect even more shortages on primers if that's possible.....

I was talking to a distributor a while back and they chose not to handle the Wolf/Tula primers because of the long lead time in getting orders. I'm going to wager that there are more than just a few ocean-going containers that are already in transit to the US along with a bunch waiting to go on the ship. We may see a fairly steady flow of these and maybe Putin and Obama will put each other on their Christmas Card list.

I have used them for about 4 years now. I remember when I bought them for $15 plus free HAZMAT if I bought 10k or more. I used it on the 30-06 M2 ball clone and shot it with an M1 Garand out to 940 yards and it performed like a Federal 210M IMHO. I also tried it on my 6.5CM, 22-250, 308 ammo and local competitors used them aswell on their 6.5CM.

Tula and Wolf are the same just different packaging...

I have not used the primers, but I got some .45 ammo with a pistol that I bought and I have been impressed with the Tula ammo. Never a failure so far in the Taurus .45 1911.

I sure wonder what this current fiasco is going to do to ammo/component imports. Some think Obama is using this as an excuse to stop the importation of arms and ammo from Russia.
