Any suggestions?

I am going to be loading either 50 gr v-max or a 52 grain Berger hollow point for some ground hog hunting. Both of these bullets do well in my gun. I am using IMR 8208xbr. My gun is a Cz 527 heavy barrel 1-9 twist. Anyone have any history or suggestions. The Hornady has a higher BC.

OOPS! I did not complete the question in he original post. I meant was, does anyone have any knowledge how these bullet perform hunting G-Hogs. The Berger looks like a mean little hollow point. The V-max has better ballistics over all.

53gr V-Max has the best BC, and does a great job on ground hogs, or anything else...

As was stated, the V-Max is a ground hog killer. The Berger is a target bullet designed for punching paper.

The Berger I am using is a 52 Grain fb Varmint hollow point. The V-Max has better ballistics just wanted to make sure they performed well in the field with someone that may have some first hand knowledge.

Thanks guys. Looks like I will get some 53 grain v-max to try after I shoot the 50 gr v-max's up. I hope my gun likes the 53gr.

My 1:12 twist 527 Vatmint shoots the 53 gr VMax quite well. I can't imagine that your 1:9 twist rifle won't do the same.
