Any reason

I have a dedicated barrel for fireforming 6 BR brass to 6 Brx the fire formed brass will be used in a 6BRX and a 22Brx . I was going to skim turn the necks before fireforming. Then turn the 22 Brx again after resizeing because it has a tight neck chamber.. Is there any reason to turn up on the shoulder since the neck will be a part of the shoulder to help prevent doughnuts? Or am I missing anything else. Thanks

When I form BR to Dasher, I always turn just to the neck/ shoulder junction but not onto the shoulder. When the case is fired, you will get a nice clean ring on the new shoulder. In either case, you shouldn't get any donuts because the metal in the neck is thinner than the shoulder from the factory
