Any one shooting an Etronx?

Recently purchased a new Remington 700 Etronx in 22-250.

Primers and ammo are very expensive.

I plan on converting it to fire regular ammo.

I already have a bolt and trigger.

I was wondering if the HS Precision stock has any value to anyone before I remove the electonics. If not it will work great for me but I didn't want to damage a stock that could be very hard for someone to find if they were needing one.

your going to need a whole new bolt or at the minimum the bolt face will need to be bushed for a conventional fire pin.

The great part about these guns as stated above is there is no main spring to cock so bolts work like a conventional rifle with the firepin assembly removed.

I have a 243 and have about 1700 primers and 350 factory rounds which I had picked up for 8.99 a box wholesale. I think primers were $125 a 1000 when I bought them 6 years ago. I'm not sure where I would find them now.

Thanks Dave, I bought mine after the discontinuation of them and paid a whopping $550 for it. They were a good deal when they where ditching them. I wonder how many millions Remy lost in the design and marketing of that rifle?

Yes I have a another bolt and trigger. The headspace is a little tight but it will work fine.

I shot it today in another stock and it looks like a shooter.

Had a 220 Swift and now have a 22-250. These rifles took the shooting world by storm and were winning matches left and right. They quickly got banned at matches and that was their demise....

The electric black powder versions have stuck around longer, probably because they dont require the special primers
