Any new production 8-32x type mid-priced scopes any good???

On my "range-toy" target rifles I like to have high mag variable scopes like 8-32 power or so. 36x Leupold/SII/T36 work, but its nice to be able to dial the power down when mirage is heavy. My "go to" is the Sightron SIII but the prices sure have gone up. And it seems like fewer companies are making such a scope that costs less than $1000.
Anyone have any favorites that are current production and a good value from $400 to less than $1000?
Anyone know of any newer companies that I might not know of that make such a scope - there seems to be a LOT of new scope companies - Arken, Riton, Athlon, etc that its hard to keep track of product lines.

The best bang for the buck in a mid priced scope like this is the Athlon Argos BTR Gen 2 10-40. I have a couple of them...they track like they're on rails, return to zero every time, are well made and built like tanks. It's a large scope. The w/e adjustments are the worm gear type which makes them very positive. Optically, they're not a NF or Sightron ED for optical quality but are very decent up to about 32-36, depending on lighting conditions. The MOA style reticle looks busy but it's actually not... and the center dot is perfect for precision shooting. I brought one as a backup to the NBRSA Score Nationals last week and the several shooters that looked through it were pretty positive with their comments.

Yes...they are a Chinese produced scope. Athlon is a U.S. company based in Kansas that has a different approach to having scopes produced off-shore and a QC program that is done in house whenever a new shipment arrives.

Look at the Arken 5-25x56. 34 mm main tube with guaranteed accurate turrets and a steal at about $550. They only sell direct online. Another is Bushnell Match Pro 6-24x50 for $500. Again this model is only sold directly from their website. I have both as well as a Leupold 8.5-25x50 LRP which is another solid scope under $1000.

I have the Optika 6 in 5-30.
So far, I find it nothing less than amazing for the $580 I paid for it. It performs as well as my Leopold VX7L and Mark 4.

I have four Sightron's 1 8x32 and 3 10x50's These are all on F/Class Rifles.

The 8x32 to my eyes is the Best of the Best. There is NO Trouble with any of them...

I did call Lance last year looking for another 8x32 like the one I have. SOL !

best bet is get a used 12x42x56 NF or a 8x32
.... plenty of power, dial down, and good glass not the best but very good
