Any Interest in cheap Fireform and Prairie dogs bullets?

Bart, in my opinion your bullets are some of the very best. But I don't agree with the idea that dumping blems, clearly marked as "sub-par" is a bad idea. I buy Sierra blems and seconds and have no illusions about what I might be getting. I would like some 22 cal for PDs and plinking.
I agree completely with Snert. Brand dilution would be a possibility if we were talking about a mass consumption product, but the issue at hand has a much finer market focus. Sure, there may be a chap here or there that will conclude that Bart's Bullets aren't what they're cracked up to be based on the performance of seconds, but, so what? These folks are NOT Bart's core market and will not influence that core market in the least. On a net basis, I believe this would be a clear winner for Bart's Bullets.

And I'll take all the 6mm 105s I can get! And .224s, if they become available.

A thought on branding issues - get a bunch of custom bullet makers together, put them under one "open source" brand, and have them sell seconds in plain white boxes without mentioning the source. Just "General Bullets, 105 gr 6mm", and don't let the customer choose or even know the manufacturer.

Being at the beginning of the BR and F Class curve, I be needing heavy 6s and 112/118 thirties for the BR. A lot of practice needed and retired $$ are, well, retired.
I am not the only shooter to buy Sierra blems when traveling through. I've not heard anyone blame Sierra for "bad, under performing bullets".
Besides, those folks who might complain would be known for their lacking abilities, blaming anything and everything.....but themselves.

I have a rem 760 308 that I load to 2100 FPS levels to plink with. I also have an old 722 244 rem. I would love to get the 68 6mms and the 30s. I would buy 300 of each if they are for sale. Thank you.

I’m considering adding a Fireform & Prairie dog section to my Website! These would be bullets that didn’t make the cut for competition bullets, but plenty good enough to Fireform or lob at Prairie dogs.

In the past I have simply taken this type of bullet to a recycling plant. But that seems like a waste!

I’m thinking

10.00 dollars per 100 6mm 68s.
15.00 dollars 30 cal
15.00 dollars per 6mm 105 class bullets.

Any thoughts or interest!

Bart

6.5 Cal please!

When may this happen?

Seems like you would never have enough bullets to fill all the orders you will receive. You have already received requests for thousands of bullets. Some folks are ordering thousands at a time.

This leads me to question, how many fire forming bullets does a shooter use, in a lifetime. Now for Varmint shooters, or those who just like to plink, these would be a great deal also, if that's what they will use them for.

All that being said, I still think it is a great idea. Get someone to brand them with another name and make sure he keeps the price reasonable. That protects your reputation. Another idea would be to simply create a new brand name and market them yourself.

It's a shame to go through the process of manufacturing a product and then have to dispose of the rejects, which would very well serve another purpose very well, at what amounts to a lose, when you factor time and labor into it.

My suspicion is that your supply may never keep up with demand, which would be a boon to you and increase your bottom line.
