Any carbon wrapped barrel stories to share

Trying to pick out a carbon wrapped barrel maker. I have chambered 1 for a friend. I now am thinking of one for myself as my age at 66 says I'm ready! I like accurate barrels that clean easily. Looking for something in 7mm for either a 7mm/08 or 280 AI. Thanks

I just recieved two ibi carbons. 1 22bra and 1 22lr. Both are shooting incredibly well and turn around time is reasonable

I’m anxious to see how they do over the course of a few groups. I haven’t used a Bartlein. I couldn’t get my proof below 3/8” for 5 shots and ended up selling it.

I hear the Bartleins are much better, and I’m sure you’ll get the most out of them.

Years ago, I bought a Proof .308 barrel from Proof at the National SCI event. They were just hitting the market and a barrel was $1000. I thought, if you want to be cool, you gotta pay. It took about 16 months to get the barrel. To Proof's credit, they called me several times saying the barrels weren't making spec and they wouldn't ship them. When I finally received the barrel, the 30 Nosler was just announced. I ordered a reamer and had my smith build it with a Manners EH-1 carbon stock. The rifle/barrel shot lights out from the first shot. Sadly, my now ex-wife owns the rifle. Ryan Pierce built me a 300 Norma Mag Improved with a Proof barrel and it is absolutely the most accurate rifle (hunting) I have ever owned. I wouldn't hesitate buying another Proof.
