Any Caldwell Stable Table users?

I was thinking about getting one but I'm not sure it's big enough. Is there enough space to shoot a rifle on a rest with a rear bag? I would probably either fit my Caldwell Rock to the table as a rest or shoot from the bipod.

Not sure what type of accuracy you are striving for at given distances but speaking from hands on experience , I've yet to see a shooting bench such as those deliver in the stability department....

Put it to you this way , if the type of shooting your doing requires the use of a rest and rear bag then you'll probably be dissapointed at the amount of movement those tables have..

PM Nomad47 on here and ask for details on how he built his portable shooting bench , i made mine very similar and was very impressed with it's stability for field conditions. Rite off the top of my head you're probably going to need no less than 36" length to get a good spacing and also be somewhat comfortable to shoot from.

Good luck.

My latest version bench (version 5) is 24" wide and 32" long. It is long enough to hold a McMillan F Class stocked rifle and a Bald Eagle rest. I wouldn't want it any shorter. My top is two layers of 3/4" plywood and as Patch700 said, it is surprisingly stable.
With the single rear leg, it is fairly easy to pivot by lifting the front two legs slightly off the ground while sitting in the chair - even with a 20 pound rifle resting on the bench. But I can only pivot about 45 degrees at a time due to having to move the chair as well.
