ANY AR15 GURU'S

I own one. Several (5-6) years ago, I had Compass Lake spin me up a Krieger barrel with no hole for gas system.

It's an 8 twist, killed a bunch of chuck suppressed in PA with it. I was going to have a side charging knob installed on the bolt, then moved on to other projects.

As a side note, the PAGC states "can't be easily converted to semi-auto in the field". Like most regulation, that's very open to interpretation. I figured there's no argument if I don't carry a drill into the field.

So pull the forman free float hand guard a few allen bolts. remove tha gas block and tube. reinstall the gas block covering the gas port and tighten, reinstall hand guard and bolts...and it now can not cycle...I like that..I will have to try it..Then just pull the charge handle ejecting the empty and let the bolt slam closed licking up another round...I will have to try it..

Problems with it not having any primary extraction , it needs a good blow to open a non modified bolt assembly , meaning you just block the gas system .
Are you saying gas tube removed it could not get it to open manually?
If you look at the rules it states manually operated firearms only..so as long as it manually operated I don't see where they can do anything...actually I could hunt all day most days and never see anyone..but I would like to talk to them and see what they say.

This is my single shot AR...DPMS lower, LAR-OPS upper and a 24" SS Douglas barrel in 6.5 Grendel but I would love to rebarrel it into a 6x47L or a 6.5x47L.

Being a PA resident, this interests me. There's been talk for a while about the bill going through to allow semi autos for hunting but it has been in limbo for a good while according to their website.

Can a AR15 be made to fire manually ? So as it would not eject a fired case and you would have to charge a new round manually ?
For purposes of testing load accuracy. suppressed loads ect.
Also we here in PA are not allowed to use semi's for Hunting..I thought what if turned the gas system off and I had to charge a round manually maybe I could hunt at night with a decked out AR...Rule book says manually operated firearms only and that would be manually operated..If you
And it would be cool to have a gas block that could be turned on and off..easily ..one could be easily made..
I also thought I would ask the Game Commission if I used a bob sled and loaded it single shot could I use it..at least that way If I had to I could drop it and stick a mag in..

If you like the AR platform, why not look into an AR style chassis system? You could get the full feel of the AR, and increased accuracy with the system and bolt action. Just a thought!

OR the POF ReVolt never knew about them...

actually can just buy the upper and put it on my M4 lower .
No way would I do a conversion and allow someone to mill my current upper so a ReVolt upper looks to be the ticket for a PA hunter right now..they say and from what I can find out the BILL has passed to allow semi auto's for Varmint Hunting in PA but it may take years before it becomes law and I heard what changes they might make to make the AR15 useable may take away from it's handiness so who knows.

I run a 300blk pistol suppressed with no gas port (no gas system) as a side charger. It works great for hunting here in PA and has taken a few deer. I run a can but only use supers for hunting as performance is much better IMHO. I verified with the PGC headquarters it was good to go and no mag restrictions. I have not been questioned yet but they said that field staff were being trained to identify compliance. I would expect to be questioned if you encounter a PGC warden, be in compliance and know the laws and feel confident and proud to explain how you are in compliance with the regulations.

The official language says it can't be field modifiable so best to go no gas port if building. The UK guys do this all the time as they can't own semis. Google straight pull uppers for some ideas.

Feel free to hit me up with any questions.

That's the way to go, IMO. There are a number of chassis systems out there with an AR feel to them. The Hunter chassis from Competition Machine, for starters, looks like a great way to solve the problem.
