Well I have always wanted to get back into this and never had the time welding over the road but farming for my father in law I have nothing to do in the winter and I have a 60'x100' shop I use for a garage that it would go nicely in. And hogpatrol I was kinda figuring that too! And I don't know if they have it at there Springfield place ,I could just bring it home in the back of the pickup.

And I do know about this brand, I have been out too long I do remember a south Bend in there somewhere and another brand I can't remember.

I've got one and like it . It's a great value and Grizzly is great to deal with . I have a tool room Clausen , it's old but accurate . The Grizzly will do anything you need to .

I have one, will do every thing you need, best bang for the money and it's new.

If you are going to do lot a 13x40 would be better if it is not that much more.

Go for it. Learn on that one and figure out what you need more on the next one. You need 2 lathes anyway if youre gonna do some gunwork.

What do you need a taper for? I have one on my Monarch and have never seen the need. It does make it easier to sell as folks want it all on their machine when buying.

+1 to what butch says. Ive never had a machine without it- and never used it. Its not like you can reliably re-taper a barrel on it so anything itll do the compound will do it
