Any 240 WBY Shooters

So I decided to revisit my 240 Wby load data and see if I have any room for improvement.
My barrel was chambered with a SAMI spec reamer which means it has a long throat before you can touch the lands.
Do any of you seat your bullets close to the lands or jam
I am using 85 grain Hornady Interbond which are seated .130 from the lands and would like to get closer to the lands to see if they shoot a little better.
I do know that the long throat in the Wby was to help reduce pressure, but would like to know if any of you have tried getting closer to the lands and if it helped.
This is my hunting rifle not a target rifle.
Thanks

I would think that any Weatherby caliber would apply to this question.
Any Weatherby reloaders out there???

Yuppp,
My 240 is an original Mark V made in West Germany on the same action as the bigger 257, 270, 7mm Weatherbys.
I’m sure it has the original throat, but it has proven very accurate for a hunting rifle. The 95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips and RL22 shoot great.
My 257 Wby is also built on a MarkV but has a Hart 10 twist barrel and a shorter throat. I do seat my bullets out to get closer to the rifling according to what each rifle likes.
