If you're trying to get Fireball velocities out of a Hornet case, you're barking up the wrong tree.

Agreed, but assuming the referenced Fireball is in terms of a 22 caliber and thread is about a 20 caliber….relevance?

3270fps @ 5000ft. Elevation in cold weather. It's a little faster at my home range, where it's 121 ft. And usually hotter.

Actually, Fireball cases have been used to make many wildcats, including .20 cal. I have a number of .22 Hornets, .22 K Hornets and .17 Ackley Hornets. I love the economy of the cartridge. My .20 cals have been more in the Vartarg (based on the .221 Fireball) and the .20 Beggs, based on the .220 Russian.
