I dont know if this has been around for awhile or not but my dad got this from a buddy on paper and i just looked it up on the computer, i loved it... Soposedly an Australian general.


General Cosgrove was interviewed on the radio recently.
You'll love his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children.. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this! This is one of the best comeback lines of all time.
It is a portion of an ABC interview between a female broadcaster and General Cosgrove who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military headquarters.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
So, General Cosgrove, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL COSGROVE:
Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended.

I'm Ausie and remember the interveiw, it was played quite a few time's.
Cosgrove is a no nonsence man, he was tasked with a cyclone clean up in Ayer Qld. in his first TV intervew he slamed into the insurance companys with.
" You will just pay these people Now no if's or but's, and take it up with Me later "
They paid up, and we heard no more about it.
Unfortunatly he was not incharge of our recent disasters.

Its impressive and unfortunate that people that ignorant can make decisions.

I did some work for a lady last summer that overheard me talking about wanting a hunting dog and she got all upset and talked about PETA and how i should be hunted by the felons she works with (she was a nurse at a prison). She liked our work so much after everything was over she brought us to a very spendy steak place, after a couple beers we started asking about why she liked steak so much but was such an anti hunter, she said "I like me meat on styrofoam and wraped in selophane." Its hard to understand these people.

I was watching a hunting video on youtube. They shot a massive bull moose. In the comments some one made a comment that she is going to skin hunters alive because we skin our game while its alive. I doubt this person has ever seen a moose.

Its just crazy to think that the mojority of people think this way.

The girl is hot, and has a sexy accent but shes dumb as a bag of hammers, and she is on the news educating people that do not know what a semi auto fire arm is.

Just watched the Youtube video on the link. Wow. Hard to get that much disinformation, misinforamtion and outright BS in so short a clip. But she managed. What an idiot.

I liked how she admitted that they want to "start" with the "most powerfull" guns...and wanted to take our guns away in "stages"!! At least she admits that they want to take all the guns....she didn't want to, but that damm "stages" thing just slipped out!

I also liked here statement about suicide rates dropping after the ban of semi auto long guns....I wonder who-n-l commits suicide with a rifle. I guess it's possible. I know of someone who zip tied the throttle of a chainsaw open and commited suicide by falling back on the blade!!! Maybe we should ban the chainsaw also....but just start with the "most powerfull" ones first!!

Ignorance is bliss isnt it.

After the arizona shooting there was a debate on the local news and the lady was trying to say that the Glock model numbers had to do with how many rounds they held, Glock 17=17 rounds and 23 held 23 rounds, the guy she was debating agains laughed and said nothing and the anchorlady had to correct her. They dont even know what they are fighting against. Its for the better though, knowledge is power and they have little.

If you think that hag is hot, wow you have some mighty low standards. On a scale of one to ten, I'd rate that at a five and that's being kind. her stand on gun control dropped at least three points from her score.
I happened to run onto one of the anchors from one of our local alphbet channels who is a notorious crusader for total gun confiscation and the abolition of hunting. I invited her to sit in on one of our Hunters Ed classes, take a trip to the range with me to try her hand at shooting and a venison steak dinner at my house. My wife who is also a Hunter Ed instructor seconded the invite. from her ection, you've have thought I'd asked her to perform an obscene act with out Pug dog. The reaction was almost hilarious and I probably would have laughed it off had it not been so ad and serious.
My last question to her was, "How can you be a balanced and honest reporter if you don't know both sides?"
The string of four letter words that emanated from her mouth would have shocked even R. Lee Ermy. Needless to say her reports no longer have any credibility.
