rsz_img_20171007_115833414.jpg 3rd day of hunting finally found one worth shooting. After 2 1/2 days of hunting my families private land I went to the public national grassland and found this guy in a prarie dog town chasing off challengers and trying to keep his does together.

Nice Trophy, congrats! I"ve shot many whitetails, in the woods. I would love to try Antelope in the wide open, seems like a greater challenge.

Antelope horns are made of hair and shed every year.
When shed the base of the horn is hollow and fit on a bone cone that is part of the antelope's skull. The bone core is covered in a rubber like substance.
