Anschutz 54 Super match trigger

I have a late 1970's Super Match 54 with a real sweet two stage trigger. My friend wants to get the same trigger and put it in his Anschutz54 Match with a single stage also from the 70's.
Does anyone have an idea what the model of trigger is? Will it fit? Are the triggers available? How much do they cost ?

Thanks

On your 2-stage trigger which one pictured is the one you have?
the trigger on the left is most common on match 54's made before 1977 the one on the right came on match 54's from 1977-79 only

FYI the trigger on the left can be found every now and then, the one on the right is very hard to come by and demands top dollar.

In about 1977 Anschutz changed things on the 14xx series of rifles (eg. 1407/1411/1413). These "new" versions of the 14xx series are often called 16xx rifles even though Anschutz itself didn't change the model name.

In any case, a new trigger was used on these "new" rifles, usually either the 5071 or 5075 triggers.

These triggers were replaced on the newer18xx models, usually with the 5018 trigger, beginning around 1979-1980. The 19xx models as well as the 20xx and 54.30 rifles still in production today also usually use the 5018 triggers. The 5071/75 trigger is not easily replaceable with the 5018 and similar triggers.

As suggested above, the 5071 and 5075 triggers can be used on the older, pre-1977 14xx rifles with a little modification. The other option is to find a 1407-U9 trigger.

There is some new old stock, including the 1407-U9 hair trigger and the 5039 set trigger, available at a dealer in Canada, but international shipment of triggers may not be possible

Thanks for this good information

What dealer in Canada has the 5039 set trigger?

Blimey, they have 17 in stock! I wonder if that was Anschutz's complete inventory?
Tim, they also have 1407-U9 triggers. I think they acquired either another dealer's inventory or was able to get parts from Anschutz remaining inventory. they had for a while a lot of the hard-to-find wing safety parts including firing pins.
