Just picked this up from Evelio McDonald yesterday. Action is a Anschutz Fortner straight pull 1727 left handed action. Barrel is a new production Shillen Select Match Ratchet barrel finished off at 24.5 inches with a Nevius II reamer. Chassis is the Accuracy International AT-X AICS 1727/54.18 in tungsten. Has Murphy precision 1727LH picatinny rail and Bughholes billet aluminum bag rider. Anschutz North America offers this same configuration in right hand for $6,995 with factory barrel. ANA does not offer a LH version of this rifle, because they told me that Anschutz has ceased production of the left handed 1727's and that very few were ever imported to USA. They advised me not to sell. I purchased a right handed version from ANA while Mr. McDonald was building my left handed version. I am a left handed shooter, but prefer right handed bolt actions, but thought I would prefer the left handed 1727 on the bench. I do not. I prefer the right handed version, so I am selling the Left handed version. I shot the gun this morning about 150 rounds at 300 yards. One of the 8 shot groups was 1.63" with Lapua Long Range (Lot ending in 882) at 300 yards. I do not have any other guns that shoot this well at 300. The LH 1727 action came off a sporter model I had that was near mint. I have the sporter stock and sporter barrel if buyer wants to purchase those. I am going to advertise this gun in current configuration for a couple weeks, if it does not sell, I am going to convert it back to a LH sporter and put this laser beam barrel on my right handed 1727 AI. Scope and rings do not go with rifle, but Atlas bipod with skid feet can be purchased for $400 with rifle. Selling rifle as described for $8,000 shipped to your FFL.
